On behalf of our entire organization;Thank You for accepting our invitation to participate in our GAINESVILLE ELITE CHALLENGE.

Please standby for the completed tourney schedule by midnight Wednesday. Addresses of our facilities/Gyms will also be included.  

Please be advised that we are celebrating the opening of the new Basketball Department of The United Sportsplex in Manassas VA this weekend.  "THE U" as it is affectionately called will be one of our host sites.  As you share the following rules and info with your parents and fans; PLEASE also share that Parents are encouraged to bring stadium fold-up chairs to expand the available seating at "The U." 

RULES AND INFORMATION ---- Please share this email with your parents, and Coaches please review the attached registration form again. The first page of the form includes additional rules.  

A) WE WILL USE HIGH SCHOOL FEDERATION RULES. THE ONLY EXCEPTIONS TO THE HIGH SCHOOL RULES ARE LISTED BELOW and within the rules page of the Registration Form. 

• * ONE AND ONE FREE THROW AFTER 10^TH FOUL OF EACH HALF
•  *A 30 POINT SLAUGHTER RULE IS IN EFFECT --- MEANING: IF A TEAM IS LEADING BY 30 POINTS OR MORE WITH 3 MINUTES OR LESS LEFT THE GAME ENDS.
•   * EACH TEAM GETS 3 TIMEOUTS PER GAME/ONE ADDITIONAL FOR EACH OVERTIME PERIOD
•   *FIRST OVERTIME IS 3 MINUTES, IF A SECOND OVERTIME IS NEEDED WE WILL GO TO INTERNATIONAL TIEBREAKER - MEANING FIRST TEAM THAT SCORES WINS.
• *AN EJECTED PLAYER OR COACH HAS TO SIT OUT THE NEXT GAME-NO EXCEPTIONS. ANY PLAYER OR COACH EJECTED FOR FIGHTING IS PERMANENTLY ELIMINATED FROM TOURNAMENT.

B) TIE BREAKERS ARE AS FOLLOWS.

· 1^ST TIEBREAKER IS HEAD TO HEAD

· 2^ND TIEBREAKER IN THE EVENT OF A 3 WAY TIE: LEAST(fewest) POINTS ALLOWED IN ALL GAMES.

· 3^RD TIEBREAKER IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT THAT A 3^RD TIEBREAKER IS NEEDED, A COIN FLIP WILL DETERMINE WHO IS ELIMINATED. 

C) EACH TEAM IS GUARANTEED 3 GAMES. 

      ONCE THE SCHEDULE IS SET,PLEASE UNDERSTAND IT CANNOT BE CHANGED    

D) ADMISSION FEES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
WEEKEND PASS $15
DAY PASS $8

CHILDREN 6 & UNDER ARE FREE

THE PASS WILL GET YOU INTO ALL GAMES

 E) DOORS WILL OPEN ½ HOUR PRIOR TO FIRST GAME OF EACH DAY. 

       F)  TOURNAMENT REPRESENTATIVE OR DIRECTOR RESERVES THE

             RIGHT TO HAVE UNRULY FANS OR PLAYERS REMOVED. COACHES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CONTROLLING THEIR FANS.

             REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GRANTED SHOULD THIS OCCUR.  

       G) MEDALS and a TEAM TROPHY WILL BE AWARDED TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM IN EACH DIVISION. 

       H)  HOME TEAM WILL WEAR WHITE

            AWAY TEAM WILL WEAR DARK JERSEYS          

            TEAM LISTED FIRST ON SCHEDULE IS HOME TEAM. 

I) THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD. IF YOU ARE LATE,YOU WILL

FORFEIT.ONLY AN EXTREME EMERGENCY WILL WARRANT

EXCEPTIONS AT THE DIRECTORS DISCRETION.BE AT THE GYM AT LEAST 20 MINUTES PRIOR TO GAME TIME.PLEASE REPORT TO THE SCORE TABLE 15 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR GAME TIME TO FILL OUT SCORESHEET: TEAM NAME AT TOP AND UNIFORM NUMBERS ARE ALL THAT’S NEEDED,NO NAMES. 

Home team must provide an adult scorekeeper to maintain the official book for that game. Only official scorekeeper sits at the scorer’s table. Visiting teams must provide an adult timekeeper for each game.

J) AGE DIVISIONS MAY BE COMBINED(if scheduled teams are NO SHOWS that creates a void and an inability to continue with a specific division's tourney play),BUT NO MORE THAN

ONE YEAR APART.
