Staff

 The Spring Break Basketball Camp will be help over 3 days.  The Camp will start at 9:00 AM and will conclude at 4:00 PM each day. For those who elect to bring lunch, please prepare a lunch which can be maintain over at least 3 hours.  We will have refrigeration equipment on site. 

The Camp will consist of Basketball Drills, Basketball Games, Video games (during free time), Health and Nutrition sessions, Guest Speaker - Head Basketball Coach High School and just fun time.  We are expecting to have indoor and outdoor activities.  Please dress appropriately.  The dress for the Camp will be T-shirt, basketball shoes, shorts - nothing special.  Each camper will get a camp T-shirt on Friday.  Please do not bring basketballs.  

 

 

Our tuition of for this Three-day session is very competitive with other camps in the area.  All of this adds up to make our Camp the best your money can buy for your child’s Spring break experience.  Payment is required with each application.  Registration  is refundable until April 1, 2019. After April 1, 2019 registrations are not refundable.  .

Goals and Objectives

Our Spring Break Camp will focus on Sportsmanship, Responsibility, Positive Attitude and Teamwork.  Campers will be given instruction at the guard, shooting guard, forward, and center positions.   We offer a 3-Day camp for boys and girls grades 3rd to 10th grades.  This camp is designed to help your child identify and correct common mistakes in their game by introducing the latest techniques for becoming skilled in their chosen position.   Each day your child will be analyzed, critiqued and given one-on-one demonstration by trained instructors and coaches to include former Division I, Division II and local Community College and high school players.  In addition to just basketball your child will receive Fitness and Condition training, Health and Nutrition instruction and the exciting NBA Live Video team and individual tournament.  Our program is designed to provide mixture of physical, social and educational events to maintain your child's interest level.  This camp is unique in that it is designed to enhance your child's skills. However, we are only accepting 60 participants. So, if your child could use some work on their chosen basketball position, want to improve their offense and defensive skills then act now to ensure your place in our 60 participant camp.  Unlike other day camps, which are 3 and 4 days with a closing 1/2 day and bring your own lunch, our positions skills camp is 3 days of fun, learning, instruction and Competition. Typical Camp Day

We offer early drop off 8:00 AM and late pickup to 6:00 PM.  Camp is Monday -Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM - with tournament play held 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Friday.   Lunch is available each day, catered by Subway Subs, Pizza Hut, McDonalds and Chick Fil A, between 12:00 Noon and 1:00 PM.  In addition to competitive basketball games we hold educational, Health and Fitness sessions.  Concluding with tournament play. Open to the public to include championship awards.  Each day your child will participate in drills for the day, competitive basketball, Education, Health and Fitness sessions.  We are only accepting 60 participants to work with small groups.   Each group will rotate from one or the other camp programs such that your child will be exposed to the every activity each day.

Staff  

BCWB Staff along with High School and college Players will staff the camp.

Campers will be supervised at all times by Camp Staff Supervisors. 

Behavior detrimental to the safety of the campers and staff are strictly forbidden and constitute grounds for immediate dismissal from the camp without refund.

Daily Activities

Competitive Basketball Games 

Each day your child will be encouraged to use the drills we teach during competitive team games.   Games will be designed to bring together the various skills given for your child’s skilled position (Guard, Forward, Center, Power Forward).   All games are controlled to include camp officials, clock, score and using high school rules. 

 

Health and Nutrition Session 

Our Health and Nutrition Session is designed to inform you and your child of the importance for good eating habits and how to keep the body healthy and strong.  The session taught by a qualified Frederick County Health Department Staff member. 

Fitness and Conditioning Session 

Our Fitness and Conditioning session is a Sports Specific Development & Strength/Conditioning workout session.  Focus is on Strength Training, Conditioning, Flexibility and Agility drills 

 

NBA Live Video Championship 

Our NBA Live Video Game Camp Champions is designed to be fun yet still another form of challenge for the campers.   It is your child’s opportunity to interact with team members in between competitive games.   It’s going to be a lot of fun and one more way to demonstrate their skills via the Basketball video game.
