History

Eliminating Achievement Gaps, Inc. was formed in October 2003 by the Board Members to address the problem of at-risk groups in our schools, such as African American, Hispanic, and students in poverty, who achieve at a significantly lower rate on the reading and math tests for the NCLB accountability, High School Assessments and elementary school standardized tests. Our membership is approximately 125 persons who came together as a result of our emergency call for action and include educators, church leaders, community activists, parents, students, and concerned citizens.
