The TJMS Mid-Maryland
Basketball Program Sponsored by Basketball Coaches Without Boundaries Recreation
Council holds our players to the highest standards. We believe
that adhering to these standards will not only help our players achieve
excellence in their school careers but in basketball and beyond.
We require a commitment from our players and their parent/guardian(s)
. In accordance with the Mid Maryland rules and regulations, any
player not meeting the minimum guideline of a 2.0 GPA and no falling
grades will become ineligible.
In order to help
encourage our players to maintain compliance with the requirements,
BCWBRC/TJMS is requesting you provide us with your child's grades
during the course of membership with our team. This will help our
coaches and staff to be proactive in regards to impending grade
issues.
By acknowledging this
notification by entering your name(s) and checking the box provided, you
agree to provide BCWBRC/TJMS with a letter (provided by BCWBRC/TJMS)
stating you approve of the Thomas Johnson Middle School Guidance Office
to release your child's academic status (report card may or may not be
requested) on demand. BCWBRC will hold this information in the
highest confidence. BCWBRC will work with the TJMS Guidance Office
to ensure only information necessary for our reporting requirements are
provided.
Additionally, while not a
Mid Maryland requirement, BCWBRC/TJMS program reserves the right to
suspend a player's eligibility due to any sort of non-academic, yet
school related issues' i.e. suspension, detention or other chronic
behavioral issues.
