Basketball Coaches Without Boundaries

Adult Women's Spring Basketball League 2010

     

BCWB will take team entries as well as individual player entries.  There will be no scheduled practices by BCWB, however teams are welcome to schedule their own practices.  Teams will have the option to have a "Player Coach" or Coach assigned to the team.  The BCWB Adult Women's Spring Basketball Season will run April 13th through June 3rd. The season will run 8 weeks on Tuesday's and Thursday's with all teams making the playoffs. See our “Fact Sheet” for more specific registration information about the program.

Adult Women's League Information 

Season Dates:  Tuesday's/Thursday's, April 13th - June 3rd 

Location:   Whittier Community Center 

Game Times:  6:30 PM to 9 PM 

Fee Per Player:

Registration: 

$80.00   Per player, 

$65.00   Per player Team of 10 or more players ,  

$60.00   Returning players from Spring 2009 with last

              season t-shirt/uniform.         

(minimum 8 players per team)
TO APPLY: Complete Application.  Submit with fees to Basketball Coaches Without Boundaries,   P. O. Box 3528, Frederick, Maryland 21705. 
PRIORITY: Registration is first come, first served. 
TEAM ROSTERS:
  • Teams must carry a minimum of 8 players and a maximum of 12/14 players on their roster.
  • Players may only participate on one basketball team. 
  • Alternates are allowed when any team does not have at least 7 players on the original roster present at the game (5 players on the court and 2 substitutes) alternates MUST wear a shirt the same color as the team of which they are playing for. Alternates not available to participate in playoffs.
LEAGUE DIRECTOR:  Determines the number teams in each division.

Adult Women's Spring Basketball League 2010

Fact Sheet 

 

 

 

Teams: 

 

·    Minimum number of players per team will be 8  (Max 12)

·    All teams will be provided game jerseys.  (T-shirt style).  Teams will be responsible for coordination of shorts

·    Sponsorship welcomed to add small logo or company name on the sleeve of the BCWB t-shirt at a small price or discount on registration fee

 

Games: 

·         All Games are played on Tuesday's and Thursday's @ Whittier Community Center operated by the City of Frederick Department of Recreation.

·         Game dates are April 13th - June 3rd  

·         All games will be played on regulation high school basketball courts.  

·         Single elimination playoff games will be held.

·         All teams will make the playoffs

·         Awards will be given to runner-up and championship teams only

·         Regulation style basketball 5 on 5 full court, two referees etc.  

Practice: 

  • BCWB will not provide a practice site.  However, teams are welcome to practice on their own time.  

Basketball Governing Rules 

All games will be played in accordance with high school rules.

Insurance: 

Secondary sports insurance will be provided by a qualified and respected sport insurance organization.  

Officials: 

All games will be officiated by IAABO (high school) officials.  

Player eligibility Rule

  • For ages 18 Years of age or Older
  • If younger than 18 must have parent consent.

Cost:   

*Individual Entry 

·        $80, $65, or $60 (see details in Fee Per Player section)

·        Registration deadline March 26, 2010

·        No Refunds after April 13, 2010 

*Team Entry (optional cost and savings applies per player) 

·        Cost per team (10 or more players) - $65 per player

·        Refundable $100.00 team entry deposit due with team application.  Team refund will be returned upon receipt of final team roster and payment by the due date.

·        Team application with preliminary roster due by March 19, 2010.

·        Final team roster and payment due by April 2, 2010.

·        No refunds, deposit or player registration, after April 13, 2010.

·        Deadline for final modification to team roster April 10, 2010
